Winter Fun 2011
Waaaaaay back when I was a kid, I remember going outside into the fluffy white snow and dreaming up as many things as I could and then attempt with a valiant effort to create these things with the snow. Snowmen are fun and all, but who doesn't like a snow horse or a snow dragon? I mean, seriously, Frosty has to ride into town on something and what better way than a frosty horse? Well, I did create a snow horse back in the day and it turned out okay. I remember spending forever outside sculpting that thing and when it was complete I stood back in awe at what I'd made. Now...many years later...I tried my hand at a snow horse once more and I'm happy to say that four and a half years of art classes must have helped me in the snow sculpture area. Okay. So snow isn't a medium you work with in college, but still. Details. Isn't she cute?
Abby stood by me the whole time asking, "Is it done yet? Can I ride him?" over and over and over again. I just wish my nieces (Lauren, Linsey and Kate) could have been here to enjoy this. they do so love horses.

We all bundled up to go outside and play in the snow and we worked so hard that we couldn't even keep our hats on because it got so toasty. Josh decided to perfect his rudimentary survival skills to build a new home out of the elements in the event that we need a new place to live after the endless months of unemployment. (I'm just kidding people.)

Needless to say, we all had a blast outside. Then we piled back in the house for some fresh no-bake cookies and orange juice. Perfect winter day, I'd say.
