Super Heroes
Alex has a new love - Super Heroes. He's become positively fascinated with them. Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Ironman...and now the Green Lantern. I don't mind that he watches the movie trailers for all of these movies, but I won't allow the actual movies for the time being. A little too much for a 4 1/2 year old. So he dusted off his random super hero toys that he's accumulated over the years (and some of our toys as well) and has been playing with them as often as he can. On top of that, one of his very favorite things to do is dress up. He's always been really in to the dressing up of characters. And I gotta tell you, that little kid can be pretty darn creative when he wants to be. He will hunt the house through to find the perfect things to dress up as whatever he imagines he is. Lately, his favorite is the Green Lantern. Today he pulled out his older yellow Wiggles shirt and found a 'zorro' mask, some winter gloves and some black shoes and then proceeded to ask me to take his picture as the Green Lantern. He posed perfectly and I then dusted off my old copy of Photoshop and tweaked the picture so that he could see himself as he really imagines himself to be. He was so...so....so excited. He asked to put it as the computer wallpaper for Josh's computer and stares at it constantly with a grin on his face. It makes me smile. He's very proud of being the Green Lantern. Isn't it fun?
