9 Years

I was sitting here attempting to think of something interesting to blog about because, let's be honest, with 30 straight days of blogging, you're bound to get a bum day every now and then. I had a blog ready to post when I thought to myself, 'Oh yeah! Today's our ninth wedding anniversary.' Oops. What can I say? Oh come one people. Don't look at me like that. It's not like I forgot. I remembered first thing this morning. However, it's not like we got to celebrate or anything. What with the big bad bug from H-E-double hockey stick and unemployment, it's not like we were going to run out and eat a fancy dinner and drink a bottle of wine. We don't drink anyways. But that's beside the point.

So nine years ago, Josh and I said 'I do'. When they said for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, I never thought that nine years from that date we would be in the latter of the two options. We have most certainly had our moments, but are still truckin'. I'm blessed to have a good husband who is also a great dad. We've had two wonderfully huge surprises which we named Alex and Abby and plenty of smaller surprises inbetween. We've laughed. We've cried. We've laughed so hard we cried. It's been a wild ride and I'm fully prepared and excited to see what the next nine years is going to be like. So to my husband I say this: Love you more today than yesterday and will love you more tomorrow than today. Happy anniversary, honey! Here's to the next nine.
