Out of the woods?

In all my life, I never thought I'd be this impatient about getting sick. I've been walking around on pins and needles the last two days waiting for this nasty stomach bug to make a cozy little home in my gut. I expected to wake up last night and spend quality time getting reacquainted with my bathroom floor. But alas, I slept the night through. Well, mostly anyways. I still jumped out of bed every time I heard the kids squeak. Now that Abby and Alex are on the mends (vomit-free for well over 24 hours) I am starting to settle back into routine. One of those routines being making dinner. Here's the problem with making dinner at this time. Whatever I cook, I don't exactly want to be rejecting shortly after. So tonight I had to weed out my dinner list to figure out which meal would least likely be torture to...um...shall I say, taste again? Please don't mistake my ramblings. I am quite thankful that I have seemingly skipped the big bad bug. But the odds of not getting sick are quite a bit larger than not. And the odds are considerably more after being vomited on. This is where I am losing my patience. I prefer, like all bad things, to just get it out of the way. Done and over with. Put in the past. However you want to word it. I better not feel great all week and them WHAM! The day I'm meant to go Christmas shopping on Saturday end up stuck in my bed feeling awful. If that happens, I might do something drastic. If I have to walk through the stores, doubled over with a bucket in my hands (and possibly wearing a diaper depending on how the bug goes :-), then so be it. Because I will not, I repeat, will not go shopping on Christmas Eve. I'd rather bang my head on a wall than fight that crowd for the one damaged toy on the shelf that is left the eve before Christmas. So let's just pray that I have lucked out and the big bad bug hitched a one way ride to anywhere but here. I am so done eating the B.R.A.T diet.
