And then there was one

Precisely 48 hours after Abby got the big bad bug, it hit Josh. I knew something was a bit off when he went to bed before me when there are perfectly good dungeons to raid on World of Warcraft. He played the game most of the morning after waking up and then by 2:00 he laid down on the couch with the 'oh woe as me' look on his face. (Sheesh. Men. Right ladies?) Though he claimed that he was only going to 'rest his eyes' for a minute, I quickly shooed him off to bed and told him to sleep it off. What I didn't realize was how literally he took my orders. He slept. And slept. And then slept some more. He took a seven hour nap. That's not a nap. That's a night of sleep. And to me, that can be almost two nights of sleep. He woke up at 6:30 saying he wasn't tired anymore. Then the kids starting screaming and fighting over a toy. After promptly explaining to my two and four year old that there are children in this world with no toys to fight over, (one of my finest speeches to them to date, I might add) I looked up with mom-victory in my eyes to Josh. Only Josh wasn't there. He had escaped back to the bedroom and shut the door. He didn't reappear until the kids were brushing their teeth for bed. He logged on to World of Warcraft moments later. So, miraculously, he's made a full recovery. Hmmm...though slightly suspicious, I'm glad he's on the mend. Does this mean that if I get it then I get to sleep in my bed for seven hours while he does all the work? Somehow, I don't think motherhood works that way. Oh well. That's my job.
