Okay. So I have this Bumblebee Transformer that I got for Christmas. Isn't it awesome? Yes - I have a Transformer toy. Yes - I'm a total geek. Yes - I took it out of the box. And finally, yes - I realize that the value of the toy has significantly decreased now that it no longer remains in it's original package. But I couldn't resist. It has been sitting on my shelf, perfectly packaged, mocking me. It is a level 3 Transformer. So it's a bit more difficult to figure out how to transform into it's car version - especially without instructions. So for the last few days I've been working on it. It starts out looking like this:
And it's supposed to end up looking like a Chevy Camaro. Yeah. Easier said than done. Last night I spent half an hour after the kids went to bed, battling with it. Stupid thing about made me rip my hair out! I almost had it except for one small section that just wouldn't fit. I almost named this blog entry: AAAAAAHHHH!! But after many...many...many failed attempts:I AM VICTORIOUS!!! HA HA HA HA HA!!!
The greatest thing is that Josh can't even figure it out and he grew up with the darn things. Granted, the new generation toys are much more complex than the G1 toys (Generation 1). But otherwise...yes. This is how spend my evenings. How pathetic is it that I want so desperately to buy Optimus Prime and give that one a go? It's level 4. Awesome. I swear, these really are the geek's version of the Rubik's Cube.
